Sharia Board

The Sharia Board is appointed by the Board of Directors, the Sharia Board advises the Board of Directors & the Management on Sharia Compliance matters pertaining to Saudi Re’s business transactions, with the aim at preserving the Cooperative Reinsurance principles throughout Saudi Re’s operations.

Saudi Re has a well-versed Sharia Board who advises the Board of Directors and the Management on Sharia compliance matters pertaining to the company’s business transactions with aim to preserve the Cooperative Reinsurance principles throughout Saudi Re’s operations.

Sitting on the Sharia Board are internationally renowned scholars who enjoy deep knowledge and vast exposure to the insurance and reinsurance industry. The members of the Sharia Board are:

• Shiekh Dr. Abdulsattar Abu Ghuddah
• Sheikh Dr. Mohamed Ali Elgari, and
• Sheikh Yousef Al-Farraj.
