| Senior Management |
In addition to the Chief Executive Officer, the Company has appointed Managers to head its various operations and service Units. A brief description of the Senior Management Team follows:
 Nouhad Taleb, born in 1949, the Chief Executive Officer (for details please refer to the Board of Directors page).
 Arthur Underwood is the Company's Chief Operating Officer, responsible for planning & managing Saudi Re’s marketing and underwriting operations as well as for the direction of the Company’s retrocessional program. Born in 1952, Mr. Underwood has over 30 years of experience in the international reinsurance market. In the 1970s and early 1980s, he worked in Europe for Continental Insurance as well as for Compagnie Européenne de Réassurance and Mead Lafayette Re (where he established and managed the Facultative Departments). Returning to the USA in 1984 with F&G Re, he was named Vice President there in 1988, and joined PXRe as Senior Vice President in 1998. In 2001, Mr. Underwood assisted in the planning and creation of Arch Re in Bermuda and was Co-Head of Non-US Underwriting; in 2006, he started a firm which provided planning, production, underwriting & audit consulting services to other startup reinsurers. He was appointed COO of Saudi Re in late 2009.

 Sami Sayegh, Business Unit Manager – Facultative, is responsible for developing and managing the facultative reinsurance portfolio in the MENA region. Sami has come to Saudi Re with over 20 years of experience in the reinsurance, insurance and brokerage industry in Canada, having worked with such companies as FM Global, Chubb, Aon, and Paris Re – where he was Vice President – Facultative, responsible for the Canadian market.
Sami holds a Masters degree in Engineering obtained from Concordia University, Montreal, and has completed extensive training in insurance and management practices at several institutions including the Mc Gill University Executive Institute and the Canadian Management Centre.
 Isa Ali, born in 1975, is the Head of the Company’s IT Department. He worked for Arab Insurance Group (ARIG) for 9 years prior to joining Saudi Re in February 2009; his last position at ARIG was Manager-Systems Development, which involved leading multiple projects including Reinsurance Management System implementations and support.
Mr. Ali received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science as well as an Executive MBA from the University of Bahrain. He is also a PRINCE2 certified IT project manager and holds a Master’s Certificate in Information Technology Project Management from George Washington University (USA).
