 Khaled Sayed, Business Unit Manager - Treaty, is holding a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Arts in General Insurance. He is Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (London). He is also a Chartered Insurer.
Khaled has 22 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. Currently, he is Head of Treaty Unit at Saudi Re. He previously worked for Egypt Re as GCC Dept. Manager, and, for the African Reinsurance Corporation as the African Oil and Aviation Insurance Pools Manager. His last position before joining Saudi Re was a Director at Aon Benfield.
Khaled has authored a number of published articles relating to several Insurance Issues a part of the Egyptian Government campaign to raise insurance awareness in Egypt.

 Richard Rizk, Area Manager-Facultative, has over 30 Years of Experience in Non Marine Underwriting / Claims & Legal environment, and came to Saudi Arabia in 1988. He held senior managerial posts with InSaudi (now Allianz Saudi Fransi) and joined Saudi Re in March 2009.
Mr. Rizk started his career as a student trainee in insurance in London in 1977, and gradually occupied more senior positions with the companies he worked with in Lebanon, Cyprus, KSA and Nigeria. Underwriting was his core function for a long time, as he served as Middle East Regional Property Manager with St Paul Fire & Marine. He started a Company in Lebanon, gaining startup experience which, in addition to his international experience, will be put to work for the fulfillment of Saudi Re’s vision.
Mr. Rizk holds Degrees in Lebanese and French law from St. Joseph University in Beirut.

 Hashim Taha Mohamed, Area Manager – Facultative, has 30 Years of experience in Non Marine Underwriting and Claims, and is very familiar with the MENA legal environment. He has held managerial posts with Al Ahelia Insurance (Kuwait) and Wala’a (Saudi Arabia), and was very instrumental in developing the medical section of NCCI (now Tawuniya). He was the first manager of the consolidated Claims Department of NCCI, and came to Saudi Re in December 2009.
Mr. Taha is a Law Graduate from Cairo University, Khartoum.

.jpg) Ahmed Fouad Selem,38 years old, was appointed Actuary / Life Underwriter in February of 2009. He worked for 15 years in the Egyptian life insurance market prior to coming to Saudi Re, starting with the Egyptian Insurance Supervisory Authority and later with Commercial International Life and El-Shark insurance companies. Mr. Selim’s experience in life reinsurance includes actuarial support, product design, financial reporting, policy administration, system compliance, and management of both Group and Individual business. During his career, he has also worked with Legal & General in the UK as well as with the New York Insurance Regulatory Department, USA.
Ahmed received his BSc. in Statistics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University in 1993 and his MSc. in Actuarial Science from the City University, London in 1997. He is currently in the final stages of getting his Associateship from the Society of Actuaries in the USA.

 Murtuza Bhavnagarwala, is appointed Underwriter-Treaty in Saudi Re from July 2010 and has brought with him the experience of 17 years. He holds Bachelor degree in Commerce along with Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII) and Fellowship of Indian Insurance Institute(FIII).
He started his career in Insurance Industry with GIC of India in 1993 and served them for 10 years. In 2003, joined Trust Re (Previously Trust International Insurance & Reinsurance Co.-Bahrain) as Technical Accounts Manager and promoted to Underwriter and Deputy Regional Manager for Asia and Far East in 2006. In 2009, joined Al-Koot Insurance & Reinsurance Company (Captive Insurance Company for Qatar Petroleum) as Underwriter for Energy Portfolio.
